Works for Me: Easy and Free Gift Tags

Jonathan's mom here! I can't remember where I read this tightwad tip, but I thought I'd pass it along!  (And I didn't know that my tip would be on topic with Shannon's...yay!)

Before you get rid of those cute Christmas cards that people are sending to you this year, give them a second purpose: make them into gift tags for next year. Last year, I used a Circle Maker to cut tags out of our cards, and these are what I came up with:

Even though I'm not very organized, I managed to put them in a baggie and keep them with my Christmas wrap until Christmastime arrived this year.  If you don't have a punch, I bet you know a crafty gal who would lend you one.  Most big shapes would work.  This year, I have a Tag Maker, so next year's gift tags will be a more interesting shape.  This idea would work for gift tags for any occasion...and it's free!

Great Idea...It would be fun to try and use a piece of the card on the person that sent it to you. I wonder if they would notice....lol.

Cute idea! I use scrap scrapbook papers sometimes for tags and cards. Never thought of a punch.
