Pink Hair

Today, at the grocery store, I spotted a lady with pink and black hair. She also had a baby, and a little boy with a mohawk. I said to Mommy, "That lady has pink hair. That's pretty funny!" So Mommy taught me a new lesson: Saying that someone looks funny might hurt their feelings, and even if I think they're funny, I shouldn't say anything because it would make them sad. We had a long conversation about this in the car, Mommy and me. I said to Mommy, "That was the kind of hair that lady wanted." I hope I remember to wait until I get into the car to tell Mommy about funny hair next time!

We're Back!

We got back from our wonderful trip last night around 11:30 p.m., which felt like 1:30 a.m. to us. We had lots of special time with our friends, and Mommy took 214 pictures. We won't post all of them, but we'll share some good ones soon. Big "thank yous" to all of our friends faraway who made our visit so fantastic, and to our friends nearby who took care of things so that we could go.

We had a joyful reunion with Daddy last night, and he went to work a little late this morning so that I could have some wrestle time with him. We missed him so much!

Today is Airplane Day!

Yesterday, after my nap,

I squeezed in a visit with Grandpa...

and Grandma...

and Aunt Amanda...

and some bonding time with Daddy.

Today is the day that Mommy and I will get on the plane to see Graham and his family. Daddy is going to stay home and take care of my toys while I'm gone. We're sure going to miss Daddy! We'll tell about our adventures when we get back.

Baby Isaac

Since it's September, all the activities that Mommy and I do together are starting up again after a summer break. Moms Time Out is starting again, we're going to do BSF for the first time, and we're doing MOPS, too.

Today we went to MOPS, and in my class, we learned about Abraham and Sarah and how they prayed for a baby. The baby God gave them was named Isaac, and all the kids got to make our own Baby Isaacs. Here I am with mine. I love holding the baby!

Lunch With Ella

Today, I got to have lunch with my good buddy, Ella. (Ms. Jen and Delia came, too. I asked if Mr. Dave and Lily the dog could come, but Mr. Dave had to work, and Lily had to stay home.) Here we are being firefighters. We wanted to make sure to get together before Mommy and I fly on an airplane on Wednesday. The mommies really enjoyed chatting, and Ella and I had a great time, too. Guess what-she is lending me her DVD player for my long airplane flight! Thanks for the fun time today, Ella!

PS-I'm famous-I'm on Ella's blog today, too!

Saturday's Birthday Party

Here are the pictures of my second birthday party of this weekend, the one for Emma and Megan. I know them from church, and they both are turning two. Their party started out at a park, but because the park wasn't going to be open, we relocated to the zoo. Nobody minded!

Here's everyone getting ready to sing and have cupcakes.

The girls in pink T-shirts and jeans skirts are Emma and Megan.

After finishing my cupcake, I told Mommy I was ready for another birthday. I'm not scared of getting frosting on myself anymore now that I've had some practice with my cupcake-eating technique.

Time for gifts!

Here we are at the zoo. This is my mom's favorite picture from the whole day.

Here I am being a monkey.

Mr. Rick helped me join the other kids on the turtle.

Thanks for inviting me to your party, Emma and Megan!

Sunday Morning

On Sunday mornings, my dad and I like to read the paper together. My favorite part is the car section. There are several kinds of cars I can name by sight now. My favorite ones to point out in the newspaper are Beetles, Honda Elements, and FJ Cruisers.

You might notice that I forgot to wear my glasses in this picture. Right after it was taken, I asked to wear them!

Now I Know About Princesses

Tonight, I went to Kali, Karli, Kaili, and Kaci's house. (I know them from church.) They are 4, 3, 2, and 1, and I was invited to celebrate Kaili and Kaci's birthdays. I wore my prince crown like I had planned, and I had a fantastic time, as you can see in these pictures. You might get the impression that there were lots more girls than boys at this party, and you'd be right. That didn't bother me, though! I don't mind a few sparkles and hearts. And, I mostly had the castle/ball pit to myself.

Life is different in a house with four little girls compared to my house with one little boy. One of the major differences is that at the girls' house, there are princessy things everywhere. I guess I should have asked Ella, Emma Claire, or Ava about these things already, but I hadn't thought of it until now. I don't think I'd want to live at a house with four girls instead of one boy, but it sure was fun to visit! Thanks for inviting me, Kali, Karli, Kaili, and Kaci!

Princesses?

I have two birthday parties to go to this weekend. The first one, today, is for two little girls from church. They are having a princess party, and the guests are supposed to dress as princesses and princes. I have to say that, until yesterday, I don't think anyone has ever talked about princesses (or princes, either) in my house. I still don't really get it. But, Mommy wants me to be prepared for the party, so she made me a crown. What do you think? This is about as princely as I get. (And, do you like my cymbals?)

The second party is on Saturday for two more little girls from church. It's at a big park. I have a little more experience with that kind of party! I'll let you know how the parties go.

The Sand "Mountain"

Here's what I'm saying. Remember, I still have "I" and "you" backwards!
"You’re putting the sand into your yellow bucket and it’s going like a fountain.

Probably you can do it and sitting down and that would be better."

(This is our first try with Google Video. We've been using blip.tv up to this point. You can help us decide which works best!)

Sweet Sleep

If you're wondering who that little animal with glasses is, he's Bluebird. He came from Starbucks, and I love him! I sleep with him every night.

A Great Game

Here's a great game for all of you little buddies out there to try:

Take all the stuffed animals you own and pile them on top of your mom. Then, climb on top. It's a great game!

I Need a Haircut!

Hot Air Balloons

This weekend, we had an adventure that I loved. Mommy and Daddy woke me up very early to see a hot air balloon launch. Grandma came with us, and we drove to a little nearby town. We watched the balloonists use fans and fire to inflate the balloons. It was so exciting! We got really close to the balloons and got to see them fly in the sky. I loved it!

We also got to see Ella and her family. It's so nice to have a little buddy to run into. I think she liked the balloons, too. I asked Mommy and Daddy to take me to see the hot air balloons again tomorrow, but they said I'll need to wait until next year.

Pictures from Our Visit

Here are some pictures of my visit with Grandma and Grandpa. (You can click on any of them to make them big!) I miss my grandparents, but I think they left at the right time because it's 106 outside right now. Of course, we are staying inside! Thanks for the visit, Grandpa and Grandma!

Grandpa and I are watching Cars in this picture. None of my grandparents would have ever watched this movie without my help!

Great Grandma came by for a fun visit. All of my local grandparents got to see my faraway grandparents at one time or another during this visit.

Great Grandma always brings something interesting for me to see. She thought this slinky should walk down the stairs, but I thought it was for my "tiny little race cars." I also thought that she painted it for me.

On Sunday after church, we took Grandma and Grandpa to see some giant trees. It was a rare opportunity for me to miss a nap, and as you can see, I was very tired.

Here we are admiring the forest.

Mommy and Daddy and I are in this tree. It's not even the biggest one, but it sure is big!

Wow, those trees are tall!

This picture is of me with my new sandbox toys. There are enough toys to share with all my little buddies! You can see in the background that Daddy and Grandpa worked very hard to refill my play area with mulch. Now it's cushy enough to make a fall not hurt quite so much for my buddies and me.

Grandma and I got to play in my new sandbox.

Here I am looking through my sandbox lid as it's leaning against the playhouse.

Last, but not least, here are Mommy and Daddy and I posing with the other members of our family, my vehicles.
