I love matching the letters to their words and then putting the puzzle pieces together!
Who Knew?
Mommy, Daddy, and I went to a Christmas dinner together a couple of weeks ago. The kids got a little bag of goodies to help us stay busy. I decided that I wanted to write some names with Mommy. We started with my name, and Mommy made a J. She figured I'd copy her J, but I kept going and wrote an O. She didn't know it...but I knew how to help her write my name.
The Bear Pillow
I have actually decided that he is a puppy named Carl. I sleep with him at every naptime and bedtime.
Arranging...
Here I am "arranging the 'Antivity sets' in a choir." Thanks, Aunt Shari and Uncle Denny, for my new Antivity set. I made sure to put it with another one that Mommy and Daddy had. It was very important that the shepherds were near the sheep. I added cars later.
29 Weeks, and All is Well!
We are so thankful for this precious gift and this exciting time. My appointments are now every two weeks. Yikes!
Birthday Playgroup, Part 1
Yes, there were nine of us...aged 5, 4 (me,) 3, 3, 3, 1, 1, 1, and 0. It was a very exciting morning.

A Little Break
We've decided to take a little blogging break from now until the end of the year. Well, not a complete break...we're scheduling some pictures to appear each day, so we'll be able to enjoy pictures of my birthday and pre-Christmas adventures, and so will you. Our posts will be mostly pictures with a lot of words. We're having a lot of fun playing with all the new toys that I've been opening. Thanks, everybody, and Merry Christmas! We'll get back into our normal routine after the new year.
Our Yard in December
Here's what our backyard looks like right now. We just had our first obvious frost last night, so it might not look this way for long.
Congratulations to Sam and Katherine!
My two good buddies, Sam and Katherine, welcomed a new baby boy into their family today! Malachi Lewis was born this morning at 8:25 and was 9 lbs., 8 oz., 20.5" long. He's the smallest baby in the family and is the first one with hair. We haven't seen his picture yet, but we hear he is super cute and can't wait to see him. Congratulations to Aunt Anna and Uncle Brian, too!
Christmas at Four
Jonathan's mom here! Welcome to our home! Our son turned four on Wednesday, and he's really into the details of Christmas this year, including the decorations. I thought I'd include you in the fun of his influence of our Christmas (and some influence of my own, as well.) Enjoy!
15 oz. Pumpkin
12 oz. Evaporated skim milk
2 eggs
2 egg whites
3/4 c sugar
1 t ground cinnamon
1/4 t ground allspice
1/4 t ground ginger
1/8 t salt
1/2 c graham cracker crumbs
whipped topping, optional
Oven 325
In a bowl, combine pumpkin, milk, eggs, egg whites, and sugar. Beat until smooth. Add spices and salt. Beat until well-mixed. Stir in graham cracker crumbs. Pour into a 9-in pie plate coated with nonstick spray. (I used a square, 8x8 glass dish.) Bake at 325 for 50-55 min. or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool. Garnish with whipped topping if desired.
I Finally Got My Wish
I have been asking for pumpkin pie for my birthday for several months. Today, we had a small party for me, and I got to eat pumpkin pie. Mommy made this "crustless pumpkin pie" that is a big hit in our family (and is easy,) and she also made these pumpkin pie tarts. I chose to have a tart, and it was yummy! Thanks to everyone, far and near, who has helped make my 4th birthday so special!
Authors
(After talking about what an author is, because Mary Englebreit is the author of the Queen of Christmas-the book we were reading.)
How I've Grown
Mommy and I went to a new pediatrician today for two reasons: partly because she was curious about how big I am and partly because we'll need a pediatrician when the baby comes. (I was pretty nice to help her try one out, wasn't I?) I haven't been to a medical doctor since last year, which was also because Mommy was curious about how big I was. We know that we can be very thankful since I don't need to go to the medical doctor much, and we truly are thankful.
From Mommy
I had to jump in to share these hilarious shirts that my sister gave me for my birthday. You probably know that I don't wear slogan shirts very much, but I'll be wearing these every chance I get until...well, you'll know when when you see the shirts:
