CT Scan Tomorrow

I thought everyone might want to know that my cat scan is tomorrow. (The doctors gave me an appointment really quickly!) You may have read before that the doctor wanted me to have a cat scan to make sure there's not a growth inside my head making my face grow crooked. I was hoping this would have something to do with kitties, but as I overhear Mommy and Daddy talking about it, I don't think it's about kitties at all.

The doctors have told Mommy and Daddy to sleep deprive me by waking me at 4 in the morning. "Don't let him go back to sleep," they said. Then I'm allowed to eat and drink until 6 a.m., when I have to stop. Mommy and Daddy will bring me to my appointment at 8:20 when the doctors will give me something to help me get very sleepy, and then they think that while I'm sleeping, they'll take some pictures of my brain.

There are some things the doctors don't know about me. The first one is that I definitely won't fall back to sleep after Mommy and Daddy wake me up. The second one is that I won't be very happy about not having any water after 6 a.m. And the third one is that I don't fall asleep just anywhere...like a doctor's office. I like to be in a crib or pack 'n play. So we'll see what they have to do to pursuade me to sleep.

I think my mom and dad are pretty nervous about all of this, so I hope you'll pray that I don't have any side effects from the sedation or the radiation exposure, and also that the doctors won't find anything wrong inside my brain. I don't mind if my face is a little crooked...everyone still tells me I'm cute!

I'll post more tomorrow to let you know how it goes.

Hi Jonathan,
I read your post today and filled my Mommy and Daddy in on everything that's going on. We will pray for you and patiently wait for you to post the results!
We love you and are sending hugs! Have fun at 4:00 in the morning!

Jeff and Amy,

We'll be praying for you guys tomorrow! I figure that, even in Jonathan doesn't want to go right to sleep, he's probably still much better behaved than 90% of he kids the doctors are used to seeing. I'm sure you will all do superbly!

Love,

Cherissa

Jonathan,

Wow--you'll be getting up before even me regardless of the two-hour time difference!

I understand about the water. That will be hard as we get so thirsty. What I don't understand is about the kitties. Why would they call something a CAT if there are no kitties? You might want to ask the nurse. My Mommy says sometimes nurses know more than doctors.

Anyway, let me know about the kitties. We'll be praying for you at about 10:20 our time. We'll pray you go to sleep quickly and easily!

Please let us know how it goes.

Love, Jamey
